City advises of planned electricity supply interruption in Lansdowne

The City’s Electricity Generation and Distribution Department would like to advise residents in Lansdowne that necessary electricity supply interruptions for infrastructure maintenance will be carried out in February and March 2024. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the critical maintenance is being carried out.

The electricity infrastructure maintenance will be carried out on:

Tuesday, 13 February 2024, from 08:00 to 16:00 and on Tuesday, 20 February 2024, from 08:00 to 16:00   
Wednesday, 20 March 2024, from 08:00 to 16:00 and on 27 March 2024, from 08:00 to 16:00

This is important maintenance of critical power infrastructure in the Lansdowne area. The maintenance work ensures a reliable electricity supply for residents in the area. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused.

It is important to note that the supply interruptions will only affect the highlighted areas on the maps.


Please note:
 
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption. 
 
Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution and to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on.
